Eimskip took delivery of the container vessel SOPHIA on May 16th 2017 and renamed her SELFOSS. This is the seventh ship in Eimskip fleet to bear this name. Her registry was transfered from Antigua and Barbuda to Faroe Island International registry (FAS) SELFOSS was build in Fuzhou in China 2008. Her masters are Capt. Gestur Helgason and Capt. Pétur Daníel Vilbergsson.

I had the opportunity to visit the SELFOSS and her Captain Pétur in June and here are some photos taken during that visit.
