New High-speed ferry, Akranes

Akranes arrving from Akranes to Reykjavik


In June 2017 Sæferðir (Eimskip Iceland) chartered the Norwegian High-speed ferry TEDNO to run service between Reykjavik and Akranes for six months. Tedno has been renamed AKRANES following the overtake and as well she was transfered to Icelandic registry. Her first voyage was on the June 15th. In beginning of August she was allowed to sail for two days on the route Vestmannaeyjar – Landeyjar due to festival in the Westmann Isl.
