Busy tug day in Reykjavik

20220404 – Today the aircraft carrier PRINCE OF WALES paid visit to Reykjavik as her first foreign port of call during her trials. This was the second time that vessel by this name visits Iceland but the former one was in WWII in 1941 when Winston Churchill came to Reykjavik with the vessel after meeting with Roosevell

Tugs from Reykjavik, Akranes, Thorlakshofn and Akureyri took part in the operation to bring the 283 meter long aircraft carrier alongside.
