GODAFOSS say’s goodby

May 7th 2020 – The container vessel GOÐAFOSS left the Eimskip’s terminal in Reykjavík for her last time at 22:45 bound for Rotterdam.

Last container loaded onboard in Iceland

After 20 years of service together with her sister DETTIFOSS/LAXFOSS they are bound for breakers yard in India according to sources.

Eimskip’s logo on her side have been painted over.

She was sold in last January and her new owner replaced her crew of Icelanders with foreign crew exept master, chief officer and chief engineer.

Last departure from Reykjavik.

On May 11th the Icelandic officers handed the vessel over to her owners crew.
