In June 2018 Port of Akureyri took delivery of newbilding from Armon Navia Shipyards in Spain. The new tug, type Astilleros Armon, S.A. C-798, was named SEIFUR upon arrival to her homeport on June 10th. 2018. Of her 22 meter in length and 9 meter in breath she has bullard pull of 42 tn provided by two Azimuth thrusters and 2 x 1192 kW Cummins main engines.

Today I had the opportunity to visit the SEIFUR and witness her great manouvreability and powerful capability.
