Freyja arrives to Reykjavik for first time

08112021 – The new Icelandic Coast Guard vessel FREYJA arrived for the first time to Reykjavik today. Her first call in Iceland was to her Port of Registry „Siglufjörður“ where she arrived on November 6th.

On her voyage from Rotterdam to Siglufjordur she hit rough weather which could clearly be seen on the painwork that was done in drydock in Rotterdam during change of ownership.

After she had bearthed I was invited to board her and met with her Commander Einar H. Valsson and many crewmembers. Second officer gave me tour and photos will say more that long text.
